I get sql errors due the sql not being compatible with the database type I'm using. I also don't have the required mods installed to get this to work. For me to get this to work on my forum would require me to rewrite everthing, which is not the point of mods in the first place.

Nice idea, but like the last review said, the readme really needs to be reworked. Pretty easy to set up the "list of news articles" but the accompanying samples for displaying articles or news are rife with references to other mods that are not listed as dependancies in the readme. For example, the news.asp file needs a PM mod (ok, I could find the fields that weren't in my DB and delete the offending SQL), and the "improved" news2.asp needs a login, members spotlight ans websearch mod. All very well, but why let users find out the hard way? I'll be going back to the Portal Mod...

The worst Read_me file I've seen. Good luck following the instructions, and don't even think about going to Snitz Forums for help.

I've installed this MOD on my website and it IS a really simple operation, even without the Icon and Avator MOD's. But I would like to use it to show news outside my forum for viewers that are NOT logged in to my forum. That doesn't work for me... Great work..! Per Lund - Norway
