This is a fantastic MOD that was just the thing I was looking for. I wanted to encourage members to use the forums and now they see the 5 latest messages from the forums on our home page. This gets them interested enough to register and participate in the forums.

Very simple yet slick mod, I've now got links on my home page to the last 10 forum posts and the 10 most popular forum posts over the past 90 days. Great way to get people to visit the homepage, and to get people visiting the homepage to visit the forums!

Tested on MS SQL Server, although there shouldn't be anything that's database specific.
This mod allows you to distribute forum topics to any other website by allowing them to embed a javascript file inline with their HTML.
